· I have been trimming for years. Will the hoof club be too basic for me?
The perfect hoof club is designed to enhance any hoof care regime.  Whether you are a seasoned farrier, first time horse owner, or avid barefoot trimmer, the PHC offers fresh and innovative information through newsletters, Videos, and Club Forum that will enhance any program you are practicing.  The reason being, KC La Pierre’s new science of Applied Equine Podiatry is just that, a NEW science.  KC’s theories are unique to his science, and the model that he created, is fresh and new to any hoof enthusiast.

· I am a first time horse owner, will I be lost?
The Perfect Hoof Club is designed to help even the first time horse owner with daily questions.  What the hoof club does is dispel the many myths of practice that surrounds the Hoof Industry today.  There have been so many advances in the field in the last ten years that this new information is invaluable to the hoof care professional, as well as horse owner.  KC discusses a topic, for example, "the sole" of the hoof.  KC not only starts at the beginning for the laymen, explaining according to his theory what the structure is, and how it functions, but also takes the theory one step further and discusses how to rehabilitate or expose that structure to the correct stimulus for growth.  Which in turn, means, being proactive with your hoof regime and not waiting until structure is lost to recognize a problem.

· What are the DVD’s like?
The Perfect Hoof Club DVD’s are like going with KC on a client’s visit.  The Perfect Hoof Club was originated because there are so many variables within the hoof’s environment, from horse to horse, that it was impossible to talk about all of them in our hands on workshops or in our text book.  So we developed this on-going membership where people can actually see KC’s clients, unique case studies, and different aspects of the same structure in order to better understand what is right for our particular horse at hand.    Shot here in FL, the DVD’s provide a tranquil and enticing environment that is fun to watch, and beautiful to experience.

· What is going to be covered in the Newsletter?
The PHC Newsletter is a compilation of the well-known Veterinarians, our own Equine Podiatrists who are practicing KC’s method, as well as articles from the master, KC La Pierre.  The newsletter will focus on their insight into hoof care, showcase new products in the industry, as well as provide discount coupons for product and services.  The newsletter will publish our results from the many hoof studies that are going on at the University level as well as in the field.  Cutting edge findings and introduction of new theory will be included as well.  The PHC Newsletter is going to be the freshest, most innovative hoof care group of equine enthusiasts ever assembled.

· What if I wanted to discuss my particular hoof care problem with a qualified professional?
The PHC membership also gives you direct access to the Official Club Chat Room.  This room is monitored by top Equine Podiatry professionals around the globe.  Take an opportunity to post photos and discuss the latest newsletter with like-minded people who really care about their horse’s hooves.  This private and exclusive membership chat room will also host surprise guests (top professionals in the Equine Industry) and postings from KC La Pierre himself.  You will be able to speak one-on-one with an equine podiatrist, as well as be exposed to different environments as our membership is worldwide.  How great would it be to get a firsthand look at what for example: stabling is like in the UK and in South Africa.  Our chat room is going to host frequently asked questions as well as engaging topics of discussion that are changing the face of hoof care today.

· Will there be any discounts for hands on courses?
Yes, the PHC is going to feature to its members a percentage discount for five day hands-on courses.  This membership is going to give you exclusive ability to sign up for courses at a lower price than non-members.  Seeing KC La Pierre at a hands-on course is the pinnacle of what we teach through Applied Equine Podiatry.   Being able to witness first hand KC’s own experiences and his understanding on specific questions you might have is a priceless learning experience.

· Will there be discounts on the Online Curriculum?
Yes, the PHC is also going to offer a percentage discount on the on-line curriculum.  This curriculum consists of 10 modules where you are mentored one-on-one by the Institutes knowledgeable staff.  After each module, you will receive a set of homework questions that work as building blocks for that module.  As each module is completed, the foundation is built upon until the final product is complete.  The on-line curriculum is cutting edge and challenging, without being too advanced.  From the Veterinarian to the horse owner, these modules help develop what we call "Lateral thinking."  This way of thinking is imperative in the science of Applied Equine Podiatry.  It is having the ability to look at three right answers and knowing which one is the most correct for that particular horse.  As many variables exist, being able to "think outside the box" is crucial for the success of your horse’s rehabilitation.  However, you should never be so removed from the box, that you have lost all weight of theory.

· I use one of KC’s Equine Podiatrists currently.  How can this membership help me?  I never intend to trim my horse myself?
The PHC is essential for any horse owner, especially if they themselves are not trimming their horse’s feet.  As you know by the reputation of our DAEP’s, owner Commitment is key in the recipe for that horse’s success for rehabilitation or return of structure.  Whether you just pulled your horse’s shoes for the first time, or your horse has been "Barefoot" all its life, the PHC will strengthen the relationship between you, your horse, and your Degreed Applied Equine Podiatrist.  Being an informed equine ward is essential in the science of Applied Equine Podiatry.  Without it, the science falls short.  All of our DAEP’s are trained to spend countless hours educating horse owners on what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how can we improve where your horse lives in domestication.  It is more important what you expose that hoof to after that DAEP leaves, than with the trim alone.  The burden of success is on your shoulders, not on the Degreed Applied Equine Podiatrist.  If the science fails you, it was probably due to the fact that you either did not become a partner in the process, or did not follow the suggested rehabilitation regime.  Being a member of the PHC gives you, the horse owner the opportunity to learn from KC directly on topics that affect your horse on a day to day basis.

· What if I choose to shoe my horse for my discipline?  Will the Perfect Hoof Club still apply to me?
This is the most exciting part about the Perfect Hoof Club.  Applied Equine Podiatry does not pose the question: to shoe or not to shoe. This is a question that each responsible, informed owner will have to decide for themselves. The question should be; what is the purpose of that shoe, on my horse? The question we ask is; does a horseshoe provide correct stimulus versus incorrect stimulus? KC La Pierre educates on the proper hoof, or most correct hoof.  We would like to strive for the Perfect Hoof, hence the name, but correct structure and correct stimulus is more accurate.  The Perfect Hoof Club will educate on "Whole Horse Hoof Health."  This is paramount in understanding our purpose behind the PHC.  We believe that every horse, regardless of whether it is a pasture ornament or a top performance horse, deserves the best possible hoof it can have.  The reason why most horse’s hooves are below standard, or possess what we call "Deformed Hoof Syndrome" is because the hoof is not provided the correct stimulus for correct growth.  The PHC will walk you through the step by step process in order to get the best hoof possible for that horse.  It’s all about basic hoof health and understanding.  By demystifying the hoof, owners, veterinarians, and farriers can take that hoof from ordinary or deformed to extraordinary.  Once a healthy hoof is achieved, making the decision on whether to shoe or not can be made by the now educated owner.  You the owner will now have the understand that it is discipline, environment, or pathology that dictates whether or not shoeing has become a necessity for that horse, at that moment in time.   Through Applied Equine Podiatry, you will understand the impact of that shoe, and know why and when to remove it, or if it should be used at all. The decision made becomes an educated decision. After all is said and done "Shoeing is not the necessary evil, the lack of knowledge that makes shoeing a necessity is the true evil." Shoeing for the sake of shoeing or for that matter going barefoot for the sake of going barefoot, without the proper knowledge to do so is irresponsible. The Perfect Hoof Club is here to educate, so you can make an informed decision. It is knowledge that empowers the owner, when it comes to proper hoof care. Shoeing will be around for a long time to come and people will want to compromise.  If after having gained the knowledge the PHC has to offer you still decide you need a shoe, at the very least you will have a good understanding of the affect the action you take will have on the equine foot.

· Is this information any different than what is being offered in the DVD series?
Yes, the Videos offered in the PHC will be very different from the Chosen Road DVD series currently for sale.  Though not a replacement for the Chosen Road Video Series, the PHC DVD’s do allow us to incorporate KC’s most recent work.  KC’s research is ongoing.  His theory and science is constantly evolving, allowing a more accurate trim as time goes on. The Club's DVD’s are exclusive to the newest and most pertinent information that KC is utilizing in his every day work.  It is not uncommon to see an abstract study being carried out at a five day workshop.  It is not uncommon for KC to develop new and innovative tools to make the process of trimming a horse’s foot more enjoyable.  These DVD’s will utilize the cutting edge factor of being the most up-to-date information available in this format today.  As club members, you will be exposed to the newest information, even before some of our own Full Time Students and Equine Podiatrists.  It’s going to be comforting to know that as members, you will be working side by side with KC as he practices Applied Equine Podiatry in its truest form.
